A Note From Our Co-Founder

Seven years ago, I began a journey into the world of health outside hospitals. I didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but I knew it was necessary. My wife Yulia had just been diagnosed with a malignant disease, and I started searching for solutions that wouldn’t just treat her illness but could also help her move beyond it—to feel good inside and out.

What I soon learned was that the process of finding answers was a frustrating experience in itself. Searching for information was confusing; finding the right expertise was hit-or-miss, and, as a whole, the experience was disjointed and inefficient. I didn’t know where to start—even as a doctor. My attempts to help Yulia often left me feeling lost.

Eventually, we did find answers. We integrated nutraceuticals with her chemotherapy. This complementary approach was transformational—today, Yulia is living a healthy life, and we’ve since been blessed with two children.

But here’s the thing: I knew Yulia wasn’t alone in this experience. I began to suspect that countless others were struggling with the same frustrations I faced. As I started talking with friends and strangers, my suspicions were confirmed.

Many people shared stories of searching for experts but having poor experiences—struggling to identify credible practitioners in a world where everyone seems to be an “expert.” Others felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of approaches to health and wellness. They didn’t know where to begin. I also heard from people who were spending large amounts of money on supplements but weren’t sure if they were even the right ones to take (let alone if they worked).

I knew I had to do something, even if I didn’t fully know how at the time.

I’ve always believed that the experience of health must go beyond the treatment of illness. Too many people are just “getting by” instead of living their lives to the fullest. Through my personal journey, I learned that to truly live well, we must embrace what it means to be well.

Health isn’t about focusing on just one thing. It’s about eating the right foods, getting good sleep, managing stress, staying physically active, and bridging the gaps with the right products and services tailored to our individual needs. It’s about an integrated approach that continuously nurtures both mental and physical health. It’s about adopting a holistic wellness lifestyle—not just applying a band-aid.

I also knew this needed to be accessible—where people can find what they need, what works for them, and what’s good for them, anytime and anywhere.

So, what is Zupe?

We’re a community of people pursuing optimal health—together. At the core of this community is our super-app that combines community, consultations, and commerce.

I want to help others navigate their own health journeys, just as I navigated mine.

And I hope you’ll join me.
